Basic Theory of Forklift Trucks
1. Basic structure of forklift truck

Forklift is a kind of motor vehicle with forks, which is mainly used for loading, unloading, stacking and short distance material handling.

It is mainly composed of four parts: power system, chassis system, working device and electrical system.

The power system includes the engine, transmission system, travelling mechanism and wheels; the chassis system includes the body, frame, suspension and braking system; the working device includes the forks, forklift, gantry, lifting and tilting mechanism; and the electrical system includes the power supply, control circuit and electrical components.
2. Forklift working principle

The working principle of forklift trucks is to transmit power through the chassis system to make the working device lift, tilt and feed materials.

The specific process is as follows: the engine transmits the power to the travelling mechanism through the transmission system to make the forklift truck move; the operator controls the steering and speed of the forklift truck through the joystick; the lifting mechanism and tilting mechanism drive the forks up and down, forward and backward through the hydraulic system to achieve the loading and unloading and handling of materials.
